Over the course of a 30-year career in home improvement and construction, I’ve worked in literally thousands of homes. I’ve also designed and built three of my own homes.

Update:  I am now certified as a “green building home inspector” by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.  In addition, I have built several green homes, the latest having insulated concrete exterior walls, geothermal heating and cooling, and expanded foam insulation.

• I have journeyman-level experience in foundations, framing, plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing, and ventilation systems.  I understand home construction from the ground up.
• I’m licensed by the State of North Carolina, hold yearly continuing education certifications, and am a member in good standing of the North Carolina Licensed Home Inspectors Association.  I’m also insured and will gladly furnish any number of references upon request.

• My report is computer-generated with color photos and arrows pointing to hard-to-find areas. The report is clear and easy to understand. I’ll make every effort to discover and report any defects or areas of concern to you.
